So, I have decided to write about New Years Resolutions seeing as though I plan to do them every year and yet find myself saying..."you better believe next years resolutions will be better." I suffer from a disorder called "Lazy butt, drag it out, wait until next Monday disorder". I know, it is a very serious disorder. Don't be worried, I haven't quite been diagnosed by a doctor...but...it is just very obvious to me that I have this. You see, Jan 1st came and went and I prebought all of my "diet" foods to start on the first but then I was like, "well, it is New Years day...what the heck I'll start tomorrow." And then I realized that we were going to a movie during the day and to dinner with friends....so why not wait until Thursday"...which is tomorrow by the way. But, I decided that Greg is still home from school until Friday because we have a appointment with the heart specialist for Alex tomorrow and so I guess I will wait until Friday....but then why not wait until "MONDAY"!!!! So, as you can see, I definetly have the "lazy butt, drag it out, wait until Monday" disorder. So, I am here to announce the plan for my "next Monday resolutions" seeing as though it is pointless to have New Years Resolutions. It is way to easy to say..."Oh, I'll wait until next year" meanwhile gaining 400 pounds waiting to restart the resolutions. Am I making sense?....it is all the donuts going to my brain. So, without further ado....
FIRST: Next Monday I will vow to...I hope none of you really held your breathe for that first one. Who am I kidding. I stink at resolutions! I have thought and thought of what would make me get my behind in gear and I have contemplated public humiliation. Why not just post my weight with a half declothed picture of myself and a declaration of my weight loss plan for the world to see. That ought to do it...RIGHT? I don't know...maybe it would but then I'd have no friends, so what would be the use if I had no one to show of my new hot bod too. I have thought about starving myself,........ which the thought usually lasts about as long as it takes to unwrap a Twix bar. Ya, thats a funny one. I know, most of you are thinking, "Gee, whats the big deal. Exercise already...eat right, blah, blah, blah" that is all I hear you saying. It sounds so simple yet, I just can't bring myself to that kind of discipline. Whats a girl to do.
So, here it is. I need some serious moto...as in Motivation! Anyone up for a challenge? If anyone is looking for a challenge or competition..bring it on. Maybe that will work...I said maybe, but hey it is worth a shot...at least until next Monday!!
Come on, I know there is someone out there dying to challenge me. I figure it is more fun when someone is doing it with you!! The winner gets a free Twix!!!

I have never stuck to my resolutions either but this year I put them on my blog so people could remind me. then if I wasn't doing them I would feel bad about it or lying to them that I had.. good luck though getting the motivation sucks.. Last night was fun I was glad I knew someone there it made me feel a ton better.
http://www.tangledandtrue.com/ thats the site I was telling you about.. their givaway today is pretty cool.
Becky-Everything you wrote is so ME! I am totally the same way. I need to lose weight too, so I WILL take you up on your challenge. You set the details and let me know. I need some motivation! I will buy you a coke if you win, which you probably will because I have ZERO self control!
Becky and Kim-- I AM IN!!! I am a fat fat fatty fat! I really want to get things moving. I was doing well for a while after Parker was born... but that didn't last. So, I am up for a challenge. Rich and I are going to do the Salt Lake 5K this spring. (I know, 3 miles is not much-- but it is for me!) And I don't want to get totally humilated next to my skinny, athletic/runner husband.
Lets do a 5K as friends..that would be fun!!!! I mean on top of our challenge!!!
You are so on! Do you need to feel better? Half naked pictures of me would do it! I will convince you, because it seems everyone who complains about being fat is still much skinnier than me! I'm not talkin' that last 10 or 15. I'm talkin' Biggest Loser contestent sitting here on the computer. (when I should be exersicing right?) Yeah, just exersice and eat right...what's the big deal? I'll tell you the big deal, I'm sitting on big deal! The big deal is above my tree trunk legs and below my not too little waist! You set the terms and I'm in! I need to lose...here it comes...are you ready?...70 lbs. And no, that would not make me Kate Moss, just normal by Weight Watcher standards. I am quite the competitor, so sign me up! (and no, as much as you want it, you can't see pictures of me half naked)
YOU MAKE ME LAUGH!!! Bring it on, I am totally up for the challenge, well maybe if my life slows down and my stress goes away and I make lots of money and....
Count me in! It takes forever for me to get my baby weight off and I am insanely concidering doing it again- having a baby that is, and I am freaking out that I don't have all the weight off from the last one! I need the motivation too!
Good luck. I'm not good at keeping my resolutions but I am trying to at least keep them up and not kill myself for not being perfect at them. So if I do it more times than not... I will be happy ;)
