Hurry boys..close your eyes!!!

Just another reason why bees should not have ever been created........

I took the boys to Walhole on Friday. We just needed a few things and although I hate Walmart and actually shopping all together...I knew we could be quick. We ran in and were swift and efficient...the kids on their best behavior..(shocker) I should have known that it was the calm before the storm. I have seen every kind at Walmart...or so I thought. Let this be a lesson.....nothing should ever shock you in this world. And let me just announce this now...I do not love Halloween. I just don't get that into it.....and I'm starting to understand why.

Shocker #1: The boys and I have just retrieved our favorite vitamins. We haven't been faithful vitamin takers and after a few colds already this season we've recommited ourselves to the Flinstones and the "one a days". Anyways..we were on our way..I sort of wish I would have been warned and I could have also grabbed some of those reading glasses by the pharmacy so that the boys vision would have been a little misconstruded..(is that a word?). A chick comes walking by us..and by "chick" I mean a grown woman....(even more appauling..you sort of expect it from the teenagers) she is wearing something a long the lines of "romantic bedroom attire".....I am assuming because it was even a little immodest for bedroom attire if you catch my drift. I'm no prude but seriously....at Walmart..okay anywhere..but really...at the store????? I will admit after having three boys that boys are BOYS from the second they are born because my two year old took one look at her and said.."Whoaoa!!" That is sad!! For those who know me...you know that I wear every expression on my face whether I mean to or not. The girl put her hand to her chest..(her practically bare chest) and made some shocked look.....obviously mocking my look of astonishment. I don't want to judge and I won't but for heaven's sakes...I have three young boys who don't need a lesson on anatomy at the local Walmart.

Shocker #2: So if this lady wasn't bad enough...(you knew there was more didn't you?) I always say that it is appauling to me that bees are still flying around this time of year. Shouldn't they take a break for a good 6 months to make MY life a little less annoying. I hate bees and now....I think there is another good reason why they shouldn't exist. We went through the line and I was checking my bill...(things cost so much these days its amazing) when I looked up and literally when people say their jaw hits the ground..I believe them now because mine did just that!! The most shocking costume I have ever layed eyes on. There was a lady.....by that I mean a mother,... there with her children and she was wearing a skimpy underwear and bra....that's it. Okay, she had on antennas and some high heels..oh and a belly ring that my son informed me about later..nice!! The under roos were..you guessed it.....yellow and black. Isn't that darling. She was a bumble bee. Now I don't condone any person wearing this attire...especially to the grocery store..but first of all......A MOM..with her poor children by her side and second she wasn't fat but she wasn't skinny either and her body was covered in stretch marks. Now...I don't say that meanly because I pretty much just described my body...but who has that kind of self confidence to wear that to Walmart or anywhere for that matter?

My poor poor children really saw too much on our shopping trip. I was driving home and just had to call my sister to share my shock and I told her that she was wearing yellow and black stripes and Dallin's pipes up from the back and says,.."No mom, her underwear were pokadots!!" SERIOUSLY!!!! SERIOUSLY!!! SER...IOU.....SLY????????? The difference between a boy and a girl. I was noticing the stretch marks and none of the details and my son memorized every single detail in the one second that his eyes caught sight of this woman...because then his eyes were covered!!!

I'm scared....(not just of bees) but for the world that my children are being raised in. I think we have become accustomed to things in our world. I know my boys would see that kind of stuff at the swimming pool but I don't appreciate it there either. You would just think that a little modesty at Walmart isn't too much to ask for!! I don't care if you are going to a great Halloween party....please cover yourself up at the local shopping center!!

Looking back...I wish I would've had my bee spray with me!!! It probably wouldn't have had the same affect like it would on a real bee....but it would've been funny to try!!

Isn't it fair?

This is my sweet Olivia. She actually belongs to my sister Dina..aka Deanne. Well, she actually looks like my baby pictures. Don't you think since she looks like my baby pictures that she should be rightfully mine? Okay, Dina..if enough people agree than its only fair that she is then mine!! I'd start packing her bags!! (Truthfully...is she not the most beautiful baby ever? And I don't just say that because she has my stunning looks...although she does....LUCKY GIRL!!)

What a difference a Haircut makes!!

I was going through a "let's all grow our hair out" phase. It passed and I finally chopped the boys hair off. I think they look so much better with their hair short!! I think I was going more through a "I don't want to cut three sets of hair heads" phase. It was worth it!! Handsome boys if I do say so myself, and I do and I can because they look nothing like me and everything like their handsome father!!

Happy Fall Break

Nothing like the Pumpkin Patch!! ( I don't necessarily mean that in a good way!!)

Wow, Dallin..that doesn't really look like a $1.50 pumpkin. (Inside joke...just ask Greg!)

All tuckered out after a long FULL day!!! Dallin seems to be adoring his pumpkin!! Man those hormones start early these days!!

Nothing like a day of bowling!!

These pictures say it all. "You will take a picture whether you like it or not!!"

It really all about the pictures right?
Ahhh. time for a change. (The blog..did you notice?) I always need a little switch up to make me feel satisfied.
It's taken me awhile to post this post..don't ask me why. Just haven't been in the mood to add the pictures I guess.

Have I mentioned I love the FALL!?!?! This is my favorite time of year. I love the crispness in the air. I crave so many things this time of year. I crave soup! I crave crisp nights outside playing a little game of P-I-G. I crave the holidays. (hence, we sang Christmas songs before bed last night) I crave sweatshirts and warm blankets. I crave the urge to wear my big multicolored slippers. I crave dark nights. I crave rolling around in the leaves....this is usually better with the boys..and even better with the my hubby if you catch my drift!! I crave having a reason to snuggle up with my family on cool nights. I obviously get a little nostalgic this time of year. I look at my family and I feel so content I never want this time to end. Ahhhh. anyways!!

The weekend was filled with fun. Bowling, Pumpkin patch...(ew..dirty), movies, sack lunches, Joe's chips and salsa,..and a whole lot of excitement. I love a long weekend. Greg unfortunetly only took off one day but we sure jammed alot into that one day. We of course had fun..but can I just claim that I hate the pumpkin patch. Every year I dread going there. I can't believe we pay money to go wander around in a little dinky corn maze...smell turkey poop....and jam 75 kids onto each blow up toy. Seriously. I panic the whole time they are playing...germs and some serious injuries can be caused on those things. Greg laughs at me the whole time but really don't let those pictures fool you...I don't find it that fun at all.

Greg and I went out on a hot date that night. We of course went to my favorite Joeditos as I like to call it. We then went to a movie. All day we were debating what movie to go to. I had my pick..."Nights in Rodanthe" and he had his movie....you know the one just like all of the others but they are just playing another sport? If you tell Greg it is based on a true story he will pay to see it and you better believe he will own it. We have every "based on a true story" movie that was ever made. He claims Savannah Smiles was a true story...he just likes an excuse for why he cries like a baby every time he sees that movie. Anyways..he acted like he was going to be a gentleman and let me see my movie but I am not dumb and so I got up to the window and asked the lady which one she would go see. She said the one about the sports and so I said, "We will take two to that." She says, "Oh, well we just sold our last two tickets." Of course you did!! So, I say to Greg that we don't have to go see amovie tonight and we can just go another night. He was like, "No, no...let's go see your movie. It is okay." He practically forced me to buy those tickets. I thought it was pretty nice of him...he was a true gentleman... until we got down the hallway and he was like, "here come over here. We'll just sneak into mine." Of course we will. How could I be so silly. Only Greg. well,...Greg's movie was ACTUALLY sold out. Not a seat in the house. He just sat there and hesitated like two seats were going to suddenly be available. Finally I dragged him out of there and we headed to mine which had a couple of seats. Of course none of them were by each other and ofcourse no body can scoot over...everyone has to have a seat inbetween them. Just as we were going to go exchange our tickets some kid stood up and left and there sat four seats. Now of course they were in the break your neck by staring straight up section..but they were actually by each other. Perfect!!! And then....the chick...teeny bopper..okay college bopper sitting next to me....sat chewing and popping her gum so obnoxiously I thought I was going to scream. It was a flash back to the ACT when the kid next to me did the same thing and I won't even reveal what that math score was on the ACT...I blame it all on him. She was so annoying. And then at the end I did get a little emotional...but I make sure not to make an ugly face...I let the tears roll. I heard the stupid chick lean over to her boyfriend and say..in a loud voice..trying to whisper..."The lady next to me is crying." First of all...I'm not a grandma..dont' call me lady and second of all...I HEARD YOU!!! They seriously just sat and watched me the rest of the time and I wanted to pick my nose or something to give them something else to talk about. ANNOYING!!! Anyways...Greg liked the movie...like I knew he would because he likes crying movies...just ask him about "Charlie"!!!

Well, life is great and I love spending time with my family. It goes too fast!! I wish every weekend could be a five day weekend. But then wouldn't that make it more of a weekday and then work would be like the weekend. Okay...I need some serious caffeine.

If only...

I can't forget what Alex just told me. So, now I won't!! (he was coloring at the time)

"mom, you know what you have in your tummy? A BABY!!...a girls baby...cause I drawed it so it in your tummy. Now yous gonna have a boys baby in your tummy cause I draws it too!!"

If only it was that easy!!

Closed for business!!

Haven't blogged for awhile because let's face the facts...not alot to blog about yet I'm too busy to blog...makes sense!!!

I'll sum up this week in pictures and little info!!

Conference weekend is a little piece of heaven in our house. Just having daddy home all day and just being able to veg is pretty dreamy if I do say so myself. We also have made it a tradition to eat nonstop on these weekends. We start on Saturday with homemade egg/bacon/cheese croissant sandwiches!! At lunch this year we threw in a new tradition with homemade fresh smoothies. Greg always goes with his family to Priesthood and dinner and I always go with his mom and my sister in laws for a fun filled night..of course filled with more food. Sunday morning with break out the brunch with Norwegian pancakes filled with fresh fruit whipcream and powdered sugar. YUM...of course it wouldn't be a great meal without some more bacon and sausage and eggs. More smoothies for lunch and Shredded pork tacos for dinner. Dang...I'm tired just typing all that. Now that you have a conference weekend menu I'm sure you can continue on with your day!!! (just on here for posterity people..bare with me!!)

Greg always looks so comfy during conference and let me promise you...he usually doesn't move from his spot the entire day once he has become comfortable....thinks he's a king or something!!! Dallin was so diligent in keeping notes. Don't ask me why he thought the window was a comfortable spot. Colton found making out with the dog took up some good time....YUCK!!

This is our newest bribe with Colton. He despises putting on his oxygen. If you approach our house at bed time you will hear alot of screaming and yelling and bribing and possibly Greg sitting out on the front porch holding Colton's blanky and milk ransom until his oxygen is on. For awhile Greg would do this and then when Colton had his oxygen on then he could knock on the window and Greg would save his blanket and milk from any bear that may be lurking around for a little blanky...cruel but necessary...promise ya!!! Well this week we found that he likes putting on his own tape. If you look closely you will see...it's nowhere close to his cords..but who cares. I just go in and pull off the tape he put on in the middle of the night!!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cougars. We got some funny stares as we dined at Costco on Saturday. It was like people were amazed that we could find this much BYU pride in one family!! Get over it!!! I love to dress up in my BYU attire!!!

Um, Greg and I sent the boys out to play the other night while we finished up the dishes. We could hear somebody clearing their throat....guess we didn't realize the "Kissing Patrol" was standing outside the kitchen window. His look of disgust is too much for me!!! You'd think the kid would like his parents to show some kind of affection towards each other!!?!?!?

Alex's hair is getting long and so I was trying to figure out a new way to do it. I did it this way and he took one look in the mirror and said, "MOM!! You see these guys..(he points above each of his ears..) I don't like these guys!!" It was worth a shot!!

This is a picture of Colton throwing a complete fit because we were done reading our scriptures. Boy this kid surprises me sometimes....He seems to be a Laman/Lemuel type. Just kidding!! Seriously...just kidding!!

This my friends is the sign of a very nice head rub!! Thank you Gregory!!!!

Greg and I went bowling this weekend....let's just say this is possible. I got 2 spares and a strike and still ended up with 51 points. I guess 5 gutter will do that to you!! My hottie ended up with 125 and wanted to cry....poor baby!!

Well, Greg and I went and visited with our doctor..again...this week. I of course left in tears feeling sorry for myself. It looks as though my "womb" is closed for business.....or it isn't yet but it should be!!! Let me state it once again....I am so grateful for the three that I have. Each a miracle with amazing stories to tell. People don't understand why I'd want to do it again..but I did...but I won't...so I'm sad!! That's all that need to be said right now!!! Sometimes details are too personal...even for me!!!

Chow!

Nice day for a bike ride ay?

Today I learned why I don't venture out as much as I should...to excercise. I spent a half an hour on the treadmill and then decided to take the boys out on a walk. When I got out to the shed I saw my bike...hmmmm...maybe just maybe this could be fun. Greg and I take the boys out for bike rides a lot but hooking up the stroller to my bike seems to be tricky...but I decided today was a great day for a bike ride! Humph!! After much effort, (this would usually count as my workout...geez) I got the dang thing hooked on!! Yeah! I took it out for a test run because once I put in on backwards and about killed myself and my children when I tried to take a turn. Greg came home and tried it and said, "Hey, its on here right, I don't know what you are talking about!!" He took off down our drive way and turned to go on the street and about did a 360 with the stroller in tow....I couldn't help but laugh at him. Teach him to mock me and my biking abilities!! Anyways, it seemed like it was on there right. For the most part we had an enjoyable ride. It was beautiful and there was some flock of something making a lot of noise in the sky and doing some awesome formations. I was feeling like a pretty good and "exercisable" mother. (It's a shame you can't lose weight from one bike ride!!) Well, after about the 321st time the stoller fell off of the bike I decided it was time to head home. We were pretty far from home and I knew we'd encounter at least 50 more times of it falling off when all of a sudden my pedal was acting weird. I was trying to figure it out without crashing into the sidewalk when OF COURSE....my pedal fell off. I stopped the bike just in time for my dang stroller to fall off once again. Crap!! I was far away from home and I needed a wrench or whatever the heck that tool was that those nice workers used to put my pedal back on. Yes, I ventured out and asked a complete stranger(s) to help me with my pedal.... Shocking I know...I figured it was taking the risk of being attacked by a stranger or walking the couple of miles back home pushing my stupid bike and my children. (For those who just entered the picture...I'm freakishly paranoid!!!) well, we made it home after being gone for 2 hours and as we pulled in my large 2 year old that I've pulled around for two hours says, "yeah, we're home...I'm tired!!!!" Me too buddy...me too!!! Here's to rainy days and a treadmill!!! (just kidding..it was fun...and I may possibly do it again!!)..........(next spring)
